So I''ve been reading Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling and I'm enjoying it a lot.

There are other books lik this? I like his approach to biblical texts.

Im on it as well but its become more akin to choking it down. Not because I dislike it, but the occasional paragraph where his point becomes disconnected makes reading it an uncomfortable task

I agree with his ‘ought’ interpretations given God as a metaphysical assertion/essence, in that you ought to infinitely resign yourself to the literal all-knowing deity that knows things you could never and as a result I think his defence of Abraham is utterly compelling.

However my problem remains that he makes no attempts to justify his metaphysical assertion of God, which is where he becomes unhelpful as an existentialist. He may be right in how we ought to manifest given God (which in itself is nothing to sneeze at), but he does himself a disservice in not going further.
