Yeah it was pretty bad. The only good part was the setting - i guess “worldbuilding” - that’s teased out with background details
The plot sucked, the I Ching angle was awfully boring and the ending atrocious

Enjoyed it.
I liked Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch much more.

What I like about his books is that he captures the internal politics and inner functioning of the state and society in an interesting way. It's never one-dimensional.

Terrible. For awhile it seemed like they were setting up to make Hitler into the lesser of evils and the man holding back war, but they did not have the balls to do that. Could have made some great commentary regarding the winner defining history and all that, but instead we got weak scifi.
