If you think any person on this board has actually read any work of right wing philosophy beyond skimming a copy of Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life while waiting for their mom to pick them up from Barnes and Noble you're wrong.

>> No.16489237

Not really, especially Infinite Jest. Other than the shitty ebonics section in the first thirty pages, the book covers topics such as privilege explicitly (though I don't remember the exact context and it was a relatively brief mention) and one of the points of the book is at least a surface-level jab at the encroaching power of corporatism. It's not pedantic about it like something today would be, but it wouldn't be that out of place compared to something like Ulysses.

>> No.16490897

>>16483127
The modern left wing is based primarily around the concept that the Congolese or Kenyan race are identical to the Anglo, Jewish, or Japanese in terms of average intelligence and ability. This is a belief for which there is absolutely no evidence, and a great deal of evidence denying, pretty much every single thing we can measure about humans contradicts it, the only refuge of the denialist is a skepticism which would require that they disbelieve a great deal of the other generally accepted results of psychology since they have far less evidence supporting them than IQ does.

They might pretend they care more about class than this but they'd all sooner be caught dead as capitalists than admit any of the differences between races. They're not really leftists anymore, they're progressives, totally subsumed into this ludicrous worldview. They'll pretend eternally that these races are just oppressed and will one day wake up and start acting differently, despite a total lack of evidence suggesting even the possibility of such behaviour.

It's somewhat amusing to poke them about this, but it's mostly just tiring after you realize how fundamentally braindead they really are. If you can get people to lie about something this obvious it's pretty clear you can get them to lie about anything, these are fundamentally demoralized, confused people. They can't even approach their own beliefs with reason or evidence anymore, they are hysterics.
