it's good as a book to learn French but I a have no fucking idea why you're reading a translated children's book three times while expecting to find some deeper meaning. And I guess the recommendations came from women, as a heads up: women are children in the bodies of adults and it's appropriate that they like it.

Plus there's a neat side by side french/english version that makes understanding french structure automatic almost. I can't think of a better first french book.

>This is literally just
Is this kind of reductionism the defining hallmark of an idiot? I don't know why every single retard who thinks he's hot shit inevitably finds himself turning every thing into "just" other-thing. What justification can you give for why you think it's not the literal heart and soul of intellectual turpitude to go around stripping everything down into not its smallest individual components, but just one of them? Can you tell me why we should discuss The Little Prince in the context of it being "just about muh childhood?" Can you tell me anything at all? Do you have a single thought in your head?

I'm not even a huge Saint-Exupéry fan, but to reduce TLP to this is just farcical. It's like saying Apocalypse Now is "just" about a dude in the army taking a boat ride up a river. There is LITERALLY nothing to be gained from this viewpoint. Nobody's understanding is enhanced. Nobody learns anything new. Nobody is challenging. The only thing accomplished is the fleeting illusion of superiority, that you -- unlike those other idiots -- are able to somehow see through all the bullshit and penetrate to the cosmic truth that complex thing is actually simple thing.

No, retard. The only thing you're actually saying with garbage like this is that YOU are simple. If you can look at complexity and only see simplicity, the fault isn't with the author, it's in you.
