it's good as a book to learn French but I a have no fucking idea why you're reading a translated children's book three times while expecting to find some deeper meaning. And I guess the recommendations came from women, as a heads up: women are children in the bodies of adults and it's appropriate that they like it.

What justification can you give for why you think it's not the literal heart and soul of intellectual turpitude to go around stripping everything down into not its smallest individual components, but just one of them? I'm not even a huge Saint-Exupéry fan, but to reduce TLP to this is just farcical. It's like saying Apocalypse Now is "just" about a dude in the army taking a boat ride up a river. There is LITERALLY nothing to be gained from this viewpoint. Nobody's understanding is enhanced. Nobody learns anything new. Nobody is challenging. The only thing accomplished is the fleeting illusion of superiority, that you -- unlike those other idiots -- are able to somehow see through all the bullshit and penetrate to the cosmic truth that complex thing is actually simple thing.
