Why did Dr. Kaczynski decide to present himself as a group of people, Freedom Club? Why does he talk of himself as "we"?

The most successful American speeches of all time say "we", "us", "Americans", "American people". People want to belong to an ingroup, and these speeches make the best use of that knowledge

It is a great tool of rhetoric to use to our advantage.

basic subterfuge, most likely. people will probably present it as indicative of mental illness because they're retarded.

If you were to commit terrorist bombings, would rather pretend you are a scary ultra-sekrit organized group, or would you begin your manifesto with "Hi my name is Ted K, I live in Montana, and let me tell you why I think the industrial society is bad"?

It makes sense in his most recent work as he was in need of help of some people oitside of the supermax. So it wasn't a book written by him alone

Where am I even supposed to continue after reading this? It basically refutes every other work in political theory and it would be pointless to read something like Marx after being tedpilled, right? I pretty much started with him and now it feels like I misses out on everything else for good

I think he was probably of the mind that a lot of people were going to pick up and run with his manifesto and that he'd have some kind of posthumous following.

Anti-Tech Revolution and Technological Slavery.

Or you can start with Ellul's Technological Society -- which is critical of Communism/Marxism in part because it, also, sees technology as a god. Ted was also privy to Ellul's work.

Depends on who you ask. If you genuinely buy into everything Ted says, every last word, and have to stop yourself from doing anything at all during the day because you guilt yourself into thinking of it as a surrogate activity, I can't imagine you'll ever live a life free of anxiety or uncertainty if you're not mailing bombs yourself, part of a movement or made your conscious self completely subservient to the things you've already read.

I haven't read him too much but I've never been entirely on board with the surrogate activities part in ISAIF due to how wide and damning a net he casts. That said I refrain from making extreme comments on those I haven't properly 'researched'. A lot of the people who talk about him are very transparent propagandists/shills, and some make claims that amount to never reading any books except what Ted wrote then doing your part, that is to say spreading the message and telling others to do the same.
