>Forgive me God!
What did he mean by this?

>> No.16743000

>>16742993
he'd fucked it the night before and felt bad

>> No.16743006

it was a LARP, his last letters to Brandes are very lucid and intelligible, I don't think he really had a sudden mental breakdown. he realised that his philosophy is gaining traction with the European intelligentsia, Brandes informed him of the crowds that came to hear him lecture about Neetch's philosophy, Neetch decided to immortalize himself by LARPing an insane prophet thereby causing an exponential surge of interest in his philosophy

>> No.16743036

>>16743006
They gave him mercury in the mental hospital that probably fucked his brain up. What balls of steel you have to have to LARP as mentally fucked up and voluntarily make yourself a vegetable, just to spread your philosophy.

>> No.16743043

>>16743036
But this goes well with his overman philosophy so It might actually be true.

proofs he said this

>> No.16743060

>>16743046
There is no definite proof of anything he said that isn't in his letters or books. The rumour goes that he said that on the streets of Turin clutching a horse that was being flogged repeatedly, another one is that these were his last words before death.

>> No.16743084

>>16743036
And seeing as he was going to die soon anyway maybe 10-20 years. It was actually worth to LARP as a madman to push your philo.

>>16743060
I heard about the horse, never the qoute

>> No.16743125

Yes. It was reported by passersby. But people don't really take any stock in his words or actions after the mental breakdown. He CONFIRMED drank his own piss in the mental hospital which is not uncommon for syphilitics where the disease spreads to the brain.

Nietzsche played a joke on humanity just like Jesus. People trying to understand him for decades, and making sure he is idolized and remembered forever.

>And seeing as he was going to die soon anyway maybe 10-20 years.
That makes even less sense. 10-20 years is a huge amount of time. That's what I'd get for homicide in my country IF it was premeditated AND I didn't show remorse.

Now I'm not saying he accepted religion or anything like that but Neet did come from a super religious background so would it be surprising in his deteriorating mental state for him to grasp backwards onto something that was once comforting or represented comfort in childhood though he had rejected it in adulthood? He probably had some horse he loved as a kid as well. I'm not saying he had any sincere belief I just think it would be a fascinating look at someone advocated strength reaching out for some form of comfort as his own body rejects him. (if this did happen)

>> No.16745002

he accepted christ and his atheist sister destroyed all the evidence

Didn't actually happen, it was literally one of the opening scenes in Crime and Punishment as R is walking along the street to the inn where he has that schizo internal monologue about his oversized German hat

>> No.16745177

>>16745047
He was a very sensitive, effeminate man, and I do not mean that as an insult. The greatest saints were sensitive feminine men. I would say its likely he repented

>> No.16745205

it is a myth perpetrated by soibois to make themselves feel good, nietzsche did not do any of this gay shit

>> No.16745300

>tfw Nietzsche was said to be very respectful, polite, talkative and kind to animals in the earlier stages of his illness before total deterioration
Why did he have to pretend he was something he wasn't? I loved him either way.

He always loved animals, and he was a vegetarian.

>> No.16745316

>>16745205
>implying you're not seeing the natural evolution of a folk-myth out of an observed obtrusity in his critique of compassion
The fact that it appeared when Nietzsche was still alive ties it intimately with him, whereas for the story of Aristotle he was rid by a woman only as a medieval tale very departed from him as a man.

>> No.16745324

>>16745300
being vegetarian has little to do with love for animals, if I don't eat the porky now it will eventually end up as some wolf's supper, hardly an improvement.

I don't think it was Jesus who played that joke, but his followers. Imagine:
>Oh shit, he's dead now, what do?
And what followed was the greatest weekend at bernies scenario the world has ever seen (for what was, at the time, a good cause).
