16793393 No.16793393 [Reply] [Original]

We very nearly had a cohesive thread on Irving's new book the other day, but it was ruined by political tourists. Anybody else excited for a fresh look at one of the top three in the Third Reich?

>> No.16793489

did he finally find himmlers complete diary?

> And who are these over-emotional historians of the Jewish tragedy who, until I did so, never troubled themselves even to open a readily available file of the SS chief Heinrich Himmler’s own handwritten telephone notes, or to read his memoranda for his secret meetings with Adolf Hitler? Alas, apart from pocket diaries for 1935 and 1939, of which I have donated copies to the Bundesarchiv, the diaries of Himmler have largely vanished – partly carried off as trophies to Moscow, from where most of the pages for 1941–42 have only recently been retrieved,* and partly removed to Tel Aviv, Israel; Chaim Rosenthal, a former attaché at the Israeli Consulate in NewY ork, obtained some Himmler diaries by the most questionable means and donated them to the University of Tel Aviv in 1982, but following extensive litigation against Rosenthal – now non grata in the U.S.A. – the university returned the volumes to him.

I'm not sure since it's not out yet, but he was apparently satisfied with his findings. This is one of the two he's been working on for the past 20 years or so, so I'm hoping he can also release his new Churchill book.

Why are his books all selling for hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on the used market?

Scarce, and nobody will touch his work now. Buy direct from Focal Point because the money goes to the old man himself.

He has forgotten more primary source documents than most so-called "historians" have read in their entire lives.

How far along is he with Volume 3? He's getting really old.

>Case opinions
>... the evidence supports the following propositions: that the shooting of the Jews in the East was systematic and directed from Berlin with the knowledge and approval of Hitler; that there were gas chambers at several of the Operation Reinhard camps and that (as Irving during the trial admitted) hundreds of thousands of Jews were killed in them and that there were gas chambers at Auschwitz, where hundreds of thousands more Jews were gassed to death. It follows that it is my conclusion that Irving's denials of these propositions were contrary to the evidence...[3] Irving has for his own ideological reasons persistently and deliberately misrepresented and manipulated historical evidence...[4] therefore the defence of justification succeeds.[5]
and he still couldn't save his ass. lmao
