His style may scare you at first since it's very dense and has a vast scope. Just keep reading though. His key points are simple, and he explains them in at least three different ways (usually) so you should never miss the bigger picture. You should go for it, that book will make you more educated on what is transforming the world and why than the vast majority of people around.

I spent the last couple months just rereading Homer, Virgil, and Ovid, so I decided to just big dick it and fill out the rest of the library and stayed steeped in the Greeks/Romans for the next while. It comfy to change books but the characters remain within a shared genealogy.

Most of the books I posted were lying next to my computer in a stack because I had used them in a research paper.

So I spend nearly all my time on /k/ and have for almost a decade, but I quit my job 2 summers ago to go to school full time rather than part time. And during the summer I needed to find something to do. So I stumbled into a /lit/ thread on /k/ and saw some interesting military history books.
Eventually I read Mao's On Guerrilla Warfare and the IRA's Green Book and found them absolutely fascinating. I started reading and downloading all the books I could on guerrilla warfare and the way that this "new" (it's really been around since the 1770's) style of warfare flips modern warfare and strategy on it's head is just very interesting.
I find reading a very taxing activity, probably because of my ADHD and epilepsy, so much so that before about 2 years ago I had only read 3 books.
But this subject was just so interesting to me that I am reading just about every day and have gone out of my way to find obscure monographs written on it.
And every chance I could, I chose to write about guerrilla warfare in my classes and it made it so much easier to write and research because I was motivated.
So now I've attached my Mao paper to my resume and am probably gunna apply to some gov jobs at the recommendation of some anons on here and friends and family that work in intelligence agencies.

tl;dr: It's an interesting subject and helps motivate me to read and write.
