Post your library, whether it's stacked, shelves, or jumbled around.

Pic related is my primary shelf. I'm in the process of ordering its twin as my library refuses to stop growing.

Happy to talk about anything you see that piques your curiosity.

Generally I go through (ordered by frequency) eBay, Amazon, and ABE for Limited Editions Club and other out-of-print publishers. Auction sites like LiveAuctioneers PBA Galleries are also very good. For modern-day private press, e.g. Foolscap Press (hoping to acquire John Mandeville--pic related--in January) or Thornwillow Press, I'll go through their direct websites.

The FS LE Moby-Dick that you see in the black clamshell case was acquired through a private conversation on LibraryThing.

I get what is closer (local stuff of if i travel, shipping cost is a bitch) and cheaper, so I got a second hand copy of Being and Time in crostian, which is kinda good since croatian is just a bit less autistic than German, and the Kant set was cheaper than buying 3 individual books
Ill get a german copy of Being and Time eventually since I plan on writing my masters thesis on Heidegger

it's normal spacing. it's only on 4chan where the shrieking mouthbreathers devote their lives to obsessing over things that are "reddit" that it is considered abnormal.

This is reddit spacing

Where the user puts two line breaks every time they want a single line break

Because that's how reddit's formatting works. A single line break in the editor is rendered as a space when posted, not a line break. That's why redditors redditpost.

However, in response to redditposting
4chan users have decided that this is the correct way to write.
Even though it's unnecessarily unreadable in many cases.
Just to prove they're not redditors.
It's almost sad, really. But if you try to format your post so as to be readable,
No one will actually read it, they'll just comment on how you're redditspacing.
I hate this website so much. I wish it were possible to leave.

Reddit spacing is a forced meme with some dubious "that's how Reddit renders text!" argument. Paragraph spacing has been a normal 4chan practice since at least 10 years back, and probably longer still. The _overuse_ of spacing is however indicative of Reddit.

This one obviously is. Cars have nothing to do with the type of intelligence that a pseud lacks. Lack of financial savvy, sure, but that's not the same as one being a relatively meager husk that has developed the facade of being interllectually and spiritually fulfilled by hoarding unread fine literature.

What do you mean? Assuming you buy every book you read and don't throw them away, presumably you'd always have more books than you've read. I guess you probably don't have most of your books from early life though.
