Nothing screams "aspie!" and "unfuckable!" and "loser!" to me more than when I see some person reading a fantasy book in public.

These people are unsexable, unemployable, unattractive, and entirely useless. I have rarely seen attractive people reading fantasy books and when I have I stayed away from them because it was proof that they were mentally abnormal or socially fucked up.

Picture related, the kind of things fantasy fans dream about because they either know it will never happen in real life, or some are fucked up and deluded enough to think that it will.

>> No.1746670

I employ this judgment myself, often.

Fuck it, the average fantasy fan tends to be young and pizza faced, but they derive much more enjoyment out of a good story than those doing the judging

I'm an unusually blunt hot girl. I've never heard another girl say it either, hence my saying it, for the shits and the giggles. I don't much care for men, so rendering myself unappealing to them though wildy immodest statements about my hotness really don't bother me none. That they would, Anon. But more likely than that, you would just shit your pants, due to the line to the women's restroom being so long. Why didn't you just use the men's?

It is a pity, though. That's part of the reason I use the guy's bathroom on occasion--on the off-chance that it might cause a legal stir. I figure it's safer for me to do it, since I'm a lady; to be the one to break the ice on the issue, that is, since I won't be seen as a pervert immediately. Then, once people become relaxed about chicks shitting in the men's room, out of obligation to be "fair" they'll have to allow the opposite to occur as well. And then my scatological fantasy world will be complete.

THREAD ENDING POST BELOW:

Any work of literature which leans on some pre-arranged and pre-constructed aesthetic situation is inherently and objectively less in literary stature than a work in which (a) the author has constructed his own aesthetic, or (b) the author has attempted to remove aesthetics. The reason this is, is because pre-arranged aesthetic situations are more likely to be familiar and expectable to the reader. Good literature functions on the notion that it is illuminating something which the reader has previously not considered. An author's choice to remove aesthetics from his work allows the reader to focus on the CONTENT and craft of his work, which is what I'd argue, a much more compelling reason to read.

I like that, does it apply art too do you think? Is a person who paints a picture in a Pre-Raphaelite style today guilty of the same pre-construction of style, colour and brush?

Also is the pre-construction not just copying essentially so taking away part of the experience of the of giving the reader/viewer newness and challenge but in doing so adding in tradition to the work, blending the old with the new retelling the same story for the next generation making it all part of a greater thread?

Note. I reread what I wrote and I am not sure if I am typing absolute garbage, its early here and I am not quite fully with the world yet.
