How do I become motivated to start reading? I'm currently reading Dostoevsky but at a very slow pace, I also want to finish the Holy Bible someday. I don't understand, how do you guys motivate yourselves to read such deep literature?

Just step away from the computer/phone, sit down, and read every day. Make a 100 page daily goal and stick to it. When the distractions are cleared away and the book is open, you can and should read uninterrupted for multiple hours.

You learn to enjoy it and also to feel it almost an imperative. There is nothing wrong with reading slow, at least at first.

If you're reading the Bible just for the sake of having read the Bible in full, forget it. The Bible is not meant to be read cover to cover like most books are. You will not understand it if you just read it straight through.
If you're having trouble with Dostoevsky, just read it and don't try to take too much meaning out of it. His prose isn't that hard to understand. If you really want to pull more meaning from it, read it again.
