No, he just pushed Christianity to its retarded conclusion, and accelerated its inevitable downfall

Is this an "even Christians hate Calvinists" thing or is it a "Calvinists are everything wrong with Christians" thing.

Unironically? Both.

in your own words, could you give a summary of your favorite Calvinist notion, and how it helped improve Christianity?

I think the argument is "if you can only know the Biblical canon through the Bible, then logic falls apart because then how do you know the Bible is valid"

>> No.17925634

>>17925606
Could you explain further? I knew several Calvinists back when I attended a Christian school, and while I'm not stupid enough to argue "I knew some pretty swell Calvinists ergo they can't be shitty", I want to know other perspectives on them.

There's no Bible without canon, the Bible already contains a canon as it's a collection of books. Therefore, it's impossible to take the canon out of a Bible, since that means implying that such a thing like a Bible without canon exists.

This is what happens when dumbass Protestants reject 1500 years of the Catholic Church's deposit of faith because they think they're smarter for taking a sola scriptura tack. They paint themselves into a corner where they can't accept 1500 years of witness and testimony and philosophy. They are left with just their own brainlet takes.
