Hello anonymous.

I've recently gotten into reading books. I have both print books and recently bought a tablet and a premium e-reader app with embedded dictionary and Anki flashcards app.

I have a lot of inquiries, for example, I have seen several vehement criticism of ereading here which is backed by the notion that reading books through electronic means drastically mitigates retention and understanding of what you read.

I have read and finished the first book I've ever read ever just yesterday. It was Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.

I live in a third world country with very inflated book prices so as a result a market of "pirated" books are sold for $1-3 on street book stands.

So I bought the same book, Sapiens, the text is good enough but slightly low quality ink and all illustrations are in black and white. No colors.

I have realized that by reading the ebook I managed to save money, have a more thorough understanding of the material as I can easily tab on any word I don't understand so I can read its definition.

I also managed to buy several authentic books such as The Laws of Power, The Art of Thinking Clearly, and so much more.

Should I throw the print books away or keep them?

I already understood Sapiens in ebook form. So what to do?

A real book always feels nice to hold and own. But e books obviously will always win for convince and because I get them for free (Barnes and noble did not let me keep books for free, in fact I am no longer allowed to go into the store)

God you're fucking retarded, if you have to ask, don't bother. Go back to Instagram on your phone.
