Most of Nietzsche's arguments are responding to themes that are already beginning to develop in German Idealism in the immediate aftermath of Kant. You can pathologize plenty about Nietzsche maybe (he certainly invites it on himself),but not the death of God or nihilism analysis. That is already underway as early as Jacobi or Fichte.
