From what I gather, Edmund Spenser was to write 24 books in his epic, the first half on the different knights who exemplify the twelve "private" virtues and the second half on King Arthur representing the twelve "public" virtues. These virtues he gained from Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas. Of course, Mr. Spenser after writing the sixth book, so he only wrote on the virtues of Holiness, Temperance, Chastity, Friendship, Justice, and Courtesy. Though hard I try, I am unable to find the remaining 18 virtues. Can someone help me find them?
