Though I haven't made it with that purpose in mind, I guess there's nothing preventing you from doing that.

I made the website in the first place because I was discussing with some anons here, a couple of months back here about needing a new home for literature specific websites.

However the name of the website is pretty self explanatory and what's it for. Maybe if the site takes off and there's demand I might add a manga board, but I will be wary from straying too far away from the purpose, and with risk of just making another 4chan, at which point what's the purpose if 4chan already exists? But who knows what the future holds?

I was going to say lack of shitposters, but that's no longer the case. As I mentioned in the OP image upload is limited and you can only copy images from goodreads. So no wojaks or soijkas or pepe, the main idea was to have a place to discuss literature free from all these detractors.

Nicer than 4chins? Maybe I could have used bootstrap or some other framework to make it more beautiful, but so far there's no other frameworks or any other dependecies on the website, it's pure html/css/js and some php for back-end.

Also what little time I had to make this I spent on back end logic and web design isn't my strongest suit.

I did at first, it was a textboard for a couple of months and I planned on keeping it that way, because image upload is a nightmare to moderate. I only added image upload I think two weeks back, and in a limited fashion.

That is an interesting suggestion, I will looking into this, assuming there's actual interest in the website and it's future.

This a thing I am truly bothered by as I know how annoying it is on here, but I've had some spam posts from bots at the beginning that just wouldn't stop and it was absolutely necessary to add. I don't see an alternative.

AFAIK it's almost impossible to evade bots other than these complicate ready made catcha's. Even then they have to keep improving them since people find a way to evade them.
