I just started reading this the other day. So far I have read the first three stories.
The Frolic - really good in my opinion 9/10
Les Fleurs - also good. Ambiguity done right. 7.5/10
The third one about Preston the midget and the alcoholic children’s author was pretty painful though. 3/10

He gets better. Try The Agonizing Resurrection of Victor Frankenstein and Other Gothic Tales, if you can get your hands on it. He's better at vignettes. Teatro Grottesco is also pretty good.
