A Dance with Dragons, written by George R. R. Martin, was released ten years ago today, on July 12, 2011. The Winds of Winter's release is no where in sight.
How do you intend to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the last book release?

Are you looking forward to the release of House of the Dragon next year and the Tourney at Harrenhall broadway play coming in 2023?

I will celebrate by reading something else, just as I have with the release of every other GOT book.

Realistically I think we've got another 2-3 years til WoW. GRRM said he still has a hundred pages left, then its gotta be edited and revised and then sent out for press and then announced, pre-sale and then etc.

We'll read the end of Berserk before the last book. Yes, I know.

falling behind the show killed his drive. No matter how refined his version might be the core points of his series have already been done, he's been reduced to making a novelization for a post release merchandising strategy.

Realistically it’s never coming out.

Not bad, actually :)
The goal is to write ~25,000 words by the end of August and complete my novella (Novellas are the idea form of genre fiction).

It’s over. It will never end. HBO did the best possible ending for a horrible plot by a fat faggy liberal gnome who will never finish.
