To be fair, they sometimes called a school of philosophy by the name of where it was taught, like the Stoics because it was taught under a specific stoa/portico.
So they could call your philosophy basementism.

There is extensive research suggesting that your name has enormous impact on how people perceive you. If your name is something like Geoffrey Twinklebutt you're going to have a much harder time than if your name were something like Max Power

I don't care, there is research for everything. Of course they will laugh when they hear the name Twinklebutt for the first time (that's an extreme case btw) but it doesn't stop you from achieving what you want/can. Names signify nothing, if you made something of worth and your name is really THAT shit, people will make up something, they will abbreviate it or do something similar. Same for foreign names no one can pronounce. You can just choose a pen/artist name and stick with it, no one cares.

Well yeah nothing stops you in theory, you can suck cocks or poison people's drinks and achieve your goal anyway. What the fuck does that mean? It's an obstacle. Do you think pseudonyms are only about privacy or de-identification? There are multiple accounts of successful artists who chose a different name explicitly so it would be more impressive, but it's not like you can go by with pseudonyms in every context.

Are there any rules for names becoming adjectives or is it just whatever catches on?
>-an (Kristev[a])
>-ean (Blak[e], Derrida, Goeth[e], Joyc[e], Nietzsch[e], Shakespear[e], Wild[e])
>-esque (Kafka, Pinter, Vonnegut, Zola, sometimes Pynchon)
>-ian (Augustin[e], Austen, Beckett, Brecht, Chaucer, Darwin, Deleuze, [Des]cartes, Dickens, Flaubert, Freud, Hegel, Heidegger, James, Jonson, Jung, Kant, Keats, Kierkegaard, Machiavell[i], Orwell, Pelag[ius], Pynchon, Rabelais, Schopenhauer, Spinoza, Virgil, Wordsworth, Yeats, etc.)
>-ic (Byron, Eliot, Homer, Hermes [Hermetic], Milton, Plato[n])
>-ist (Thom[as Aquinas], Lenin, Marx, Mao, occasionally Hitler)
>-ite (Blair, Reagan, Thatcher, Trotsky)
From these examples I posit a few rough patterns:
>names ending in -a just tend to add an -n, except for Derrida which takes -ean, and Kafka
>names ending in -e tend to add -an
>-esque is used generally for memes
>if in doubt, use -ian
>-ic sometimes used for names with an “i” followed by “o” vowel or ending with n
>-ist and -ite are often used more in political circles, the former often expressing an extreme view or fanatical/religious obsession from followers, the latter a negative view of the person’s influence
