I found online that rapture1 died of cancer. His pykewater library was one of the largest private libraries.

Looking to see who has the next largest library. How big is your library? Mine is maybe 750. I hate minamilists and e-reader readers….so go eat out Marie Kondo and stay off this thread please.

I have 555 on [site similar to goodreads]. Only a minuscule fraction of these are books I took from the library. Some of them I gave away after reading. That site does not collect all the books I have. I basically stopped using it because update after update it become less and less useful (they literally eliminated tags, like wtf, what's the rational?)

OP is talking about actual books though, not what's on some faggy website.

OT: prolly around 4-500. Been Marie Kondo-ing tfo my book collection, I give away pulp on a weekly basis to make room for real books.

Are you dumb? I use that site to catalog my physical books.

I never liked rapture, but no one can be happy at this news. Best wishes to his wife and family.

Uh no. Not only did he not have a large private library, the pictures showed he didn't know how to shelve or care for books and probably the best books in his library were facsimiles made by budget art presses.

I don’t think she would opt for an e-reader only setup. All of the e-readers feel like gameboys, and their designs don’t spark joy. I would only use one if it didn’t feel like I was holding a leappad.

I only buy e-books that I won't be able to get via libgen. Physical books are inconvenient if you are a busy person like me who has to constantly travel around the world.
