in Danish we have a term called 'knækprosa' which can be literally translated as 'snap-prose' or 'break-prose' - it is used to refer to ''poetry'' which just as well could be prose if there were no line-breaks, or separation between ''verses''

Obviously garbage but that is apparent, the question is, is it garbage compared to other contemporary popular poets? I go every couple days to the local bookstore and try to read an entire book of contemporary poetry, which is relatively doable since they only run from 50-150 pages. I do this not because I enjoy it but I wish to grow a taste for it or find something of value, so comparing what I’ve read before I can put this against it.

While all contemporary poetry has no real metrical nor musical consideration, at least they pretend to deepness and still want some kind of sound, in this regard her poetry very clearly isn’t even based in the confessional tradition in any kind of manner of speech, her manner of confession seems to be purely bred out of Instagram and other such motivational. While I am a hater of Plath, at least Someone like Plath is trying to do artistry, it’s very clear the poetry in question is masturbatory but I would say it even fails as masturbation, as it is trying to parrot the emotions and images of other Instagram-poems.

At least when Plath writes “starless, fatherless” we can say this is her attempt at capturing this experience of hers, I don’t think these poems can even really refer to an experience, just reference popular references about experiences. They’re very isolated and plastic.
