I left this board in 2017. Tell me how things have been going. Do you still vote yearly charts? I’ve noticed that a certain namefriend is still here. Who are the new meme writers? Hylics need not reply

Based on this thread it doesn’t sound like the board has really changed. People are still Guenon and Goonan posting. 2013-17 is all blurring together in my mind but I kind of caught the tail end of the tripfag exodus and constant DFW/Tao posting and from then on it was just predictable cycles of trad spam, flavor of the month philosophy threads (Nick Land, Deleuze), memetic schizoposting, /pol9k/ bait and forced memes (“people are reading Culture of Critique”), newfriends who don’t read derailing every thread to complain about their gay problems, critique threads, bookshelf threads, e-celebrity gossip (that Irish guy, that Latina grad student), “bugs.. easy on the carrots,” “that’s why you read Plato” etc. Even when I left I thought /lit/ was a fun board but I expected it to have changed more. It seems slower but might be the holiday. And can someone post the 2020 chart

rapture was a dying man who had a massive library and would randomly make research threads, ask him a topic you want info on or books on and he would provide. Sort of a librarian by hobby but he also had an amazing memory and would be able to rattle off a dozen books that would fill your needs and discuss them in depth. He was a great resource and seemed a great guy all around.

Reddit censors things based on mods personal susceptibilities, they act like kings in their own feuds and that pretty much murdered the website. Freedom is necessary but when you have a party using it for their own gain the necessary step is to cut them out of the circle for sake of freedom. Is it contradictory? Of course it is, because that's how freedom works. In any case, /pol/ does not remain inside /pol/ and is creating a culture that is not good for this website at all.

Something novel that has not been discussed before or in that quality which is somewhat related to my interests. There have been more threads of the 'AMA, I have read everything on that topic' a few years ago. For example one about Spengler one about Nietzsche.
I have saved the bookmarks of dozens of interesting threads but there are money mediocre ones among them and I would have to tidy that up firsthand.
