$300 eReader + libgen vs $300 in physical books on shelf

Which is more redpilled?

>> No.19448844

>>19448815
$300 won't buy you even one section of this bookstand.

>> No.19448846

buy hardback copies of worthwhile books and then use your e-reader for books that aren't worth the space on your shelf (fantasy shit, YA novels etc)

>willing to waste time with shit literature
>not willing to waste shelf space with it.
Seems like you got your priorities mixed up

>waste of time
hardly a waste of time if you enjoy it kek. far better than cooming or playing vidya

Real books tend to impress people more...but only if you have hardcover books, "the classics", or multi-volume sets, and nothing controversial. My bookshelf is basically a mish-mash of crap that impresses no one.
>books about video games
>video game strategies
>hotel directories

I used to use an an e-reader for everything but religious texts and manuals or dictionaries. Now I get paperbacks instead of buying digital, and I think I will sell or donate when I move to a smaller place.

You can enjoy classic lit while occasionally indulging in the guilty pleasure of reading something low-brow

I kinda do it random

I did the whole The Expanse in audible
and the whole The First Law series on it too

idk why even get kindle versions, they're inferior to normal books and audiobooks
What I can get for less than $10~ I buy physically but I did buy the first Age of Madness in physical for like $20 hardcover

my local bookstore has books for a whopping $3 and I got dune for $9

Buy a used e-reader for $50 and spend the rest on hardbacks of your favorites. You don’t have to be strictly either/or.

What's the best ereader to get right now? The new paperwhite? Or something used? Looking at at voyage, which apparently is pretty good, or a used oasis

>> No.19450351

I actually prefer physical books. Most of the books I want are not available in my country so I need to buy them from Amazon. A kindle is convenient but physical feels better.
