It's good, but you need to take everything with a grain of salt (which is something even the jew recommends you to do). I recommend reading Sapiens beforehand, but so far it seems to be readable without reading the previous book. I'm only halfway through, I started not long ago.

Read it couple of years ago but it just glosses over the main ideas of if I remember correctly genetic engineering, cybernetics and AI. He then goes into how it might affect society. All I remember is his part about genetic engineering and cybernetics were just kind of shit since he knew very little about he actual technologies and thus also about it's possibilites. AI was all right but still contained kind of out there ideas not that feasible and if you've watched one or two youtube videos you'll unironically learn more and better stuff. Besides that typical Jew fag stuff about AI being great and perfecting government with algorithms so just sit in the pod and be happy goy.

Also kind of funny was that he literally states in the book about how we see our brain as working depending on the technology of the time. Like back in the day of steam engines there were ideas of the brain building up pressure which needed to be released. Then he says we now see the brain as nothing but an algorithm which might be influenced by modern technology. Then for the rest of the books he forgets about how this bias might affect his ideas and just states the brain is exactly 100% like an algorithm no other option possible.

I went the opposite way. I bought both Sapiens and Homo Deus but read Deus only (so far). I think the most thing he had to say in Deus--something I probably could have pulled from the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy if I'd only had a little patience--was that human beings are just algorithms that produce information and that this information can be tailored to the receiver's preference. Thus, individuality, soul, uniqueness, and all the rest of the Enlightenment/Western ideologies of self and personal identity are null and void, which has wideranging implications for science and society to say the least. Still, the whole thing is basically laid out on pg. 333.
