The Memoirs of Count Witte is an interesting read. Not a history book, though. It's the autobiography of an influential minister of the Late Russian Empire.

Always With Honor - the memoirs of Pyotr Wrangel, the leader of the White Russians after Denikin gave up. Spans from the Great War, before the revolution, through to after Wrangel's forces left Crimea and became exiles. Worth a read.

Nixon wrote extensively, often covering similar points, but at different moments in time, about the USSR. Any of his books are worth a read for a glimpse into the cold war mentality and US-USSR dynamic. Beyond Peace was written during Yeltsin's early tenure, with some interesting commentary on the collapse of the USSR and the rise of Russian nationalism
