Can you suggest me a good English grammar book used by natives?
Not really some university textbook, but something that highschoolers usually buy. With grammar rules and maybe some notes on linguistics.
I'm sick of grammar books made for foreign students, Murphy's Grammar in Use, albeit being very good, is too messy and not really synthetic or schematic.
Thanks.

If the USA is anything like England, and it is, highschoolers do not buy grammar books. Because they do not learn grammar.

Natives never learn grammar, so your question should be rephrased.

Schools probably don't teach grammar, but that doesn't mean there are no grammar books in the Angloworld, does it?

There are, but, as was said, they're geared more toward the foreigner.

If you're looking for an Anglo-centric grammar, then this is pretty much the standard.

It's interesting, though.
French and Italian have tons of grammar books specifically created for native students. That's probably got to do with the fact that those languages have a more difficult grammar.
But at least partially it might be due to the fact that especially French has an institute for the preservation of the language, whereas English doesn't.

I learnt grammar from the foreign languages I took (Latin, French, Ancient Greek).
I always had a facility with languages, speaking 3 from my earliest infancy at home, for which I am very grateful to my parents. It's probably what contributed to my being as intelligent as I am.

In English, you spell numbers under 100, if I recall correctly.
