Some films I like you guys might like too:

Pans Labyrinth
My Girl
Empire of the Sun

The list could go on. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I've recently gotten into Iranian films

Kill List

Yeah I liked The Tree of Life too. Luckily I didn't realize the hype/expectations etc it had, I was just hoping for another 2001: a space odyssey film.

Just don't let going to film-school make you feel like you have to prove yourself. Like I can see that my friend thinks of himself as higher than other people because he thinks he knows more about films and he has to prove that by trying to use fancy words and watching obscure things, every facebook status is about his analysis of films.

I was really surprised seeing Vanilla Sky after he hyped the shit out of it, it is really pretty shit and Limitless as I said before is really retarded.

Good-luck bro. I always think I don't have enough time to be all hip and trying to be super edgy and cool with films or books, I could crash my car and die tomorrow, fuck wasting my time on shit lik ethat
