the whole thing is pretty stupid anyway, i've always wanted someone to condense and re-work philosophy to present the ideas ahistorically. i know there are problems with this, but the problem with the historicist perspective is that so much value is put upon philosophers who were more coincidental or inevitable. ie: some just had the benefit of being the first. that doesn't make them more important than a group of scholars born several centuries later working on different sets of philosophical problems or ideas.
