>That she did what she wished, and that Stirner let her do what she wished-that of course may have let her appear in the eyes of the marriage-slaves as detestable as it later did to her, but it can only make the two of them more likable to us. Every act of making up the mind for the other, for that matter, would not have fit at all into the nature of those involved, for whom "marriage" meant only a loose band that was thrown around them purely externally. And not on the "unfaithfulness" of the wife-how ridiculous!-did "this marriage perish," but simply and only under the pressure of the circumstances in which he and she unfortunately all too soon found themselves.

reminder that Stirner made Marx fly into an autistic rage and write a 500 page insult because Stirner pointed out Government is false consciousness.

(Marx saw false consciousness like religion and gender roles as in the way of progress, so correctly pointing out government is a "spook" shook his worldview)

stirner is great because he made me realize that there is nothing wrong with hating niggers, jews, spics, indians, and 95% of my own race (caucasians) for being disgusting, annoying, greedy people who like to dominate others.

I am extremely racist against pretty much everyone and don't care.

The only views that matter are my own. My life is N=1, totally anecdotal. What is not acceptable in "science" is completely acceptable to me. We live anecdotally, so therefore my experiences justify everything I believe.

I think almost everything is a scam for people to fight over and collect resources...college professors scamming the government out of money for fake "global warming/climate change", pro-business people lobbying for fake-wars so the government has to buy their bombs for lots of money, then we have to import "refugees" we created to further lower wages and take away all of my tendies.

Of course our leaders and propagandists will try to make you accept all of this bullshit, but it's all basically cuckery, and therefore a spook.

See things as they really are. Set your mind free.

holy shit. stirner is literally just a stating point, a survey of the moral terrain. you can go anywhere from him. something is only a spook if it possesses you rather than you, it. if you find the path and ideas of evola to be most beneficial to you, follow it insofar as it suits your ends and you are not a means for unliving ideals. that's literally all it is. stirner shackles you to no creed, not even egoism (which can also be a spook if you let it dominate you.)

Spooks are what makes us human

Stirner's writing is actually pretty dense, the ego and his own has some good parts.

But read some of his better known passages/quotes:

Try searching "all things are nothing to me" to read the rest of this:

>What is not supposed to be my concern! First and foremost, the Good Cause, then God's cause, the cause of mankind, of truth, of freedom, of humanity, of justice; further, the cause of my people, my prince, my fatherland; finally, even the cause of Mind, and a thousand other causes. Only my cause is never to be my concern. "Shame on the egoist who thinks only of himself!"

that said, calling things a spook out of context is a dumb meme. literally anything can be a spook, a ghost that controls your behavior against your own interest. working out is a spook if i feel it is what i 'must' do. it is not a spook if it serves as a net enhancement of my life. only i am able to make that discernment, mind you. is this thing a tool for me to use, or am i a tool for it to use?

SPOOK'D

What makes you think it's an enhancement? Do you have an a priori justification of working out in the context of the good life? Or are you merely saying that anything that makes you feel good is good for you?

also he pretty much destroys the entirety of the philosophical basis of everything left of liberalism the final portion of the first part of the ego and its own.

as I indicated above: I,the unique one, am alone able to judge the balance of utility of myself and some object or idea or activity. to make a blanket statement of shallow hedonism as "anything that makes me feel good is good for me" is obviously ridiculous. if i spend my life pursuing petty pleasures, much of my being, what I am will go unnourished. again all of this is only for me to discern, armed with my little knowledge and experience that I can, if unguarded, be a tool of dead ideas, customs, whatever to my detriment.

Some good Stirner quotes:

>"Freedom" awakens your rage against everything that is not you; "egoism" calls you to joy over yourselves, to self-enjoyment.

>I say: liberate yourself as far as you can, and you have done your part; for it is not given to every one to break through all limits, or, more expressively, not to everyone is that a limit which is a limit for the rest. Consequently, do not tire yourself with toiling at the limits of others; enough if you tear down yours. [...] He who overturns one of his limits may have shown others the way and the means; the overturning of their limits remains their affair.

Stirner nicely articulates that part of you that senses, during your daily frustrations, that everything is all just fucking bullshit. He explains it to you, why you feel this way, and why you are right, and why you need to revel in this, and use it to find the truth, to reject all of this bullshit and find a way out to that which you can tolerate, to cast off one's spooks, and be free.

if you say so, buddy. it is not to me to tell you otherwise. i myself quit drinking because i found it to be a net negative for me and that i did it primarily because i believed it to be what i ought to do and not necessarily because it is what i wanted to do. i might urge you to consider this but it doesn't serve me to save some commie anon on the internet from themselves.

It's an extremely common hypothetical you fucking idiot.

The alcoholic convinces himself that his alcoholism has utility to himself, but there is a "true self" underneath his malaise that is yearning to be free.

Your egotistical bullshit is really just your sociopathy made manifest. Well, maybe not sociopathy. More like socio-apathy.

you're right. and his alcoholism is indeed a spook. bona fide. however, what am i to do about it? i am not sure where you get that i am egotistical just because i prefer things to be preferable to me. any person is like this. it is in fact preferable to me that people not be addicts but i am at a loss to help this, calling me 'socio-apathetic" is non sequitur.
