Good space-opera/sci-fi series?

Already read the Foundation, Dune and Hyperion. Looking for something with a bit of "mystic" feeling in it.

No one? Come on

Mystic, hmm..Grass - Sheri Tepper not really sure i can't think of much mystical stuff.

Well, it doesn't have to me mystical in a magical sense, as long it gives you the feeling that there is "more" than just robots, like parallel universes and stuffs

You could read David Zindell.

This looks interesting, care to tell me more?

Some of The Culture series might be ok, but not most of it. Surface Detail deals with and subverts some mystical stuff, and Excession is fairly good.

Generally it's not a very mystical series, but it can provide some good reads and comedy.

I read Neverness earlier this year, and after finishing it, I was tempted to say "wow". Not because the book is without flaws (it's not), but because it tries to do so much - and mostly even succeeds. I wouldn't really know how to describe it to you*; suffice it to say, that Neverness was the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw your post. I highly recommend it.

* and I might not if I could. As dubious as it might seem, I wouldn't recommend looking too deep into what kind of book it is. Just dive in. That's what I did and it worked for me; maybe it will for you too.

It's not a series, but you might like Lord of Light by Zelazny.

I should clarify: it has the "mystic" thing, but it's most certainly not a "space opera".
