Why haven't you read Stefan Molyneux's books yet, /lit/?

http://www.freedomainradio.com/FreeBooks.aspx

Lots of good stuff, totally free. Plenty to think about. Have at 'em!

Woah, didn't know the guy who made Fable wrote books.

ah, monsieur, not only does he make them, but his craftmanship of joining letter to word to sentence to paragraph almost rises to the level of actual writing, and in this day and age!!! ah, so brilliant!

I'm reading this currently. Very interesting.

>>3201945

>> No.3201979

>>3201956
Yes.

>>3201970
It's totally different ...? Peter Molyneux makes shit video games and Stefan Molyneux writes philosophical, economic, and/or political treatise.

And they're both terrible in their fields.

I don't know that yet. Have only just started reading him. What did you have against the books?

How do you know it's 'good stuff' if you just started reading it?

Because he's a moron. Ollie, you're a moron.

I meant more that it's mental refection. He writes things worth considering, and he sets out his case very well-- from what I've read, anyway. He seems worthy of a look if you're interested in the topics he engages, is what I mean.

That's nice.

You are. You're right there with the monsieur guy as the current most disgusting poster of /lit/.

>> No.3202184

Because he's an anarcho capitalist, and a deontologist too boot (if i remember correctly).

I could not possibly stand this guy If I met him

>Okay ...?

And I'm the moron.

About what do you disagree with him? I started the thread so I could have people's thoughts on the topics, preferrably as contrasted by his. These aren't my strong points, so I thought I'd read others' ideas, too. The books are free, so it's pretty easy to have a discussion about their contents.

SFSG.
I see only one problem yet: 'We tell our children not to punch each other, and we believe that violence is wrong in the abstract, as a general moral rule. The “little truth” is: don’t punch. The “great truth” is: violence is wrong.'
There has been no explanation how these are truths like the other truths he uses as examples.
I hope he explains it later.
