Can you recommend me some good "used future"-style space exploration themed science fiction novels?
Like Alien, but it doesn't need to be horror.

I don't care if it's hard or soft sci-fi.
I'm even fine with science fantasy.

Only read Dune so far and loved it.

The Voyage of the Space Beagle by A E van Vogt is pretty much exactly that.
WD Barlowe's Expedition might be sort of what you're looking for too if you don't mind a focus on illustration and biology over plot.
