Hey /lit/. How does one learn how to read faster? Are there different methodical approaches to, for instance reading fiction fast vs. a textbook?

Tips, advice, links, etc. are all appreciated

Found this:

Interesting, but there's got to be more to it than just that.

You probably already know this, but the most effective way is making a habit out of it. This is coming, however, from my personal experience. I could barely read 88 pages in two weeks but lolita and catcher in the rye got me into it and I now read an hour or two a day and is burning through books. I even read don quixote in 4 days. Someone in /lit/ might have a better record but I'm proud of that.

tl;dr: make a habit out of reading and read consistently.
ya dig?

I already read tons, and by standard measure, I am pretty sure I read faster than the average. Want to learn how to read even faster while still maintaining a maximum amount of comprehension.

Go download eyeQ and do all the sessions. Keep doing the sessions until you are satisfied with enough reading speed. Always try to strive for the best. Also note that some books are to be read slower than others and some texts are harder than others. Good luck.
