Failing history, doomed to repeat, etc.

Seriously, though, banning Any book causes more problems than it solves. Now those who enjoyed or were interested by that book could be up in arms, and they could petition or even outright Demand that it be brought back. Some people might take to extremes and steal copies to distribute secretly, and in the age of the internet, banning books is almost a nonstarter idea in itself.

tl;dr Banning books makes for the dumbing.

- I live in Somerset, England. This area is known for cider, farms, being fairly warm, and being wealthy.
- I am bisexual.

By the way, here's all currently known information about Sunhawk. If you manage to track him down stick a fucking kitchen knife in his gut:

You're looking for a late twenties NEET (possibly 30 now), not on the dole, living in Somerset England with his parents who frequents and possibly applied for a job in a Waterstones bookshops in that area. He lives a mile and a half from 'town' which he tends to walk ("[...] to walk to Waterstones and buy it" - 2011). 3 mile round trip.

So look within a two mile radius from a Somerset town with a Waterstones (or from the Waterstones itself) for a supposedly (upper) middle class couple with what is probably a single child in his twenties who lives a relatively secluded life with what is supposedly a shitty local library. Town us largely with with a ~5% asian minority and features a private school.

also house has chimney and a garden with fence

Doubtful. There's always going to be a console you haven't played in ages, and it'd be a dahm shame to kill yourself in those circumstances. But what do I know? I'm a fundamentally pretty happy human being.

Sunhawk, despite of what I have written in your threads, I have always liked you.

I would ban 120 days of sodom though. It contributes nothing to humanity and is condoning debauchery of the sadist kind.

But as I said before, humans act. If you are willing to do something illegal and terrible for whatever reasons, you probably will do it, manual or not. I assume a lot of people read things like 120 Days of Sodom and declined to have a perverted sex orgy with minors. The Anarchist Cookbook is still available everywhere, yet you don't see many reports of bombings or similar things.

Your commitment is... impressive. I'd generally agree, actually. Potentially there are official secrets, identities of agents etc that I think shouldn't be released, but then you're right that that probably wouldn't be coming in book form anyway.

Fun story: It's not really banned in Germany, it's just that the copyright to the book went to the Bavarian government with Hitler's death, and the government has refused to allow any publications.

There are of course thousands of pirated copies from especially Turkey, and next year (or 2015?) the copyright will expire anyway and the book will move into the public domain.
