I see nothing wrong with taking books from Australian universities. Fact is, more often than not, the uni will buy 3-6 copies of the same book and put them on a "short loan" scheme for the first 5-10 years (meaning you can only borrow them for a few weeks). Afterwards the lending time gets bumped up to 2 months.

The majority of the books I check out haven't been borrowed since the fucking 90's. If there is another 4 copies on the shelf, why not take it if you're going to benefit from it. Fuck paying $250 for a textbook that you'll only use for a semester or two.
