I've only watched Lynch as a young lad, and I didn't pick up much from him. Twin Peaks is the only production of his that I enjoyed and recommend. Bunuel is much more interesting in the way that Lynch wants to be, but maybe I should re-watch Lynch as a wee older lad.

I'm reading Obscene Bird of Night, it can be comparable to Lynch. It's non-linear, time and memory blend together, the point of view shifts seamlessly, the content is sometimes disturbing.
