A comedy about a window cleaner about to finish his shift at the world trade center. When he looks back and what do you think he sees? And he's like, "C'mon!". It's a real pie in the face type comedy.

I had an idea for a story where a guy gets on an imageboard and wastes multiple hours on it while going into superfluous detail about all the various arguments and ideologies presented. After a while he decides to go to the bathroom, and when he tries to flip the light switch on it doesn't work and he realizes that HE'S DREAMING!!!!!!![\spoiler]. Then he wakes up from the dream and he's at his computer browsing the original imageboard! It would be really crazy, some deuce ex machine stuff.

I wanted to write a story about an alien that is kind of a mechanic for this machine. It's intercut with a seemingly unrelated story, then cuts to the alien every now and then who's running around, trying to keep this machine running with duct tape basically, and he's constantly pissed off that it isn't working right and he really doesn't understand what it's supposed to do.

Then the story progresses and the big reveal is that the people in the story are actually parts of the machine. The alien doesn't really think of them even as people, just machinery. Their lives all start falling apart, few of the them die. The alien realizes that the machine works just the same without a few of it's parts, he's baffled by it.

I dunno. the problem i have is the "side" story is actually really good, and i'm wondering if i should just drop the alien shit.

His daughter notices he didn't put his glasses on
Turns out he wasn't reading from the book and is actually blind
He stands up and throws his cane through a window in rage
Then he collapses onto the floor and the glass gets in his eyes
But then he can see clearly again because glass is transparent
