Has anyone on /lit/ read this? I haven't been able to find a physical copy for under $100 but I just found an ePub to DL.

Np. I'm guessing none has read this. Thread self-destruct imminent.

There are fairly regularly threads asking if anyone has read it or can find a copy, I don't remember anyone finding a link before. I'm not sure why, a DFW meme or something. Maybe some of us will read it now.

A friend of mine has been making his way through it but he thinks this place is dumb and only comes here to bait the regular users.

this is also why I come here

Every time this thread is posted it gets 3-4 replies, that should be your answer.

You sure? You 'ironicaly' post kool 'baitz' to a nipponese crayon-drawing website. Sounds pretty faggy to me.

Oh I get it, you're using fag in your arbitrary made up connotation separate from what the word actually means. Didn't realize I was dealing with an actual retard here. Should've known better lol

I've got a copy from the library, but I only got to read the first 100-150 pages, because I couldn't extend the period.

It did nothing for me, but it was surely 2deep4me.

Its a megalithic novel that is hard to get a hold of.

I know some anons here have read it because I've seen it discussed, but you cant expect this to be a fast moving thread.

I'm 300 pages in now. It was good until the Grace Kimball chapters. 50 page obscurantist prose blasts about women using vibrators to masturbate themselves in their wheelchairs while looking at pictures of penis xrays turned me off quick. Good chance I'm not finishing.

In size sure but I've read recognitions twice and it's a fucking great book. Women and Men isn't very good and I feel guilty sticking it next to those other two masterpieces in the photo

exactly, I'm the one 300 pages in above and even when I was 100 pages in (I can only do at most 40 pages of it a day along with my other reading) I discovered pretty quickly that nobody fucking knew what the book was about. Not that I know much better, given the nature of the book, but when people just say "yeah it has a good postmodern writing style" please understand they're posing and have never held the book

I have 2000 books in my calibre and Women and Men trails only The Bible and The Complete Sherlock Holmes in words. At 650,000 It has 100,000 more words than Infinite Jest
