What are some good books that delve in psychological horror? Bonus points if they have horrifying imagery in the likes of francis bacon's paintings

You might have to read the horror genre for imagery like you are looking for but Kafka works for me.

Autobiography of a Corpse by Sigizmund Krzhizhanovsky. The title story is one of the creepiest things I've ever read. The other stories are great too, but they don't have the horror element as much. But the title story you should really check out.
