Actually that's cause men don't read, the very small percent that do go at it hard. Whereas reading is common for women so the average is more just common pleb reading.

The later vids are more representative of my voice; the acoustics in that hallway suck. Need carpet underneath, not high ceilinged tile. In real life i think high pitched and piercing is a better description than weedy. I don't like making cuts unless the vid is too long, thus awkward phrases sometimes stay, or stutters, because covering the key points is of course the most important aesthetic principle here. For a sense of how little this is for money, I wrote a short story in two days and made 1200 dollars off it (though the proceeds were donated). This project took 3 years to write, with meticulous research, and has, as of the six month commission, made 266 dollars. And i am killing myself to finish volume 2 by July 1, knowing it will make nothing. And that's all right, if it helps people think about Wolfe in a new way or appreciate him. I honestly believe that a 200 page writeup on a specific work would have made more. There are I think a lot of people interested in reading about Wolfe, just not a 900 page work that deals mostly with stories that people haven't read.
I mean I've read Cerberus, Best of, New and Long Sun, There are Doors, Wizard Knight, Sorcerers House, A Borrowed Man and I don't even recognize half of them.
