What's the name of this fictional book where the author wrote in side-notes in the text and it's generally regarded as a horror book but someone approached him and said she felt it was a romance novel mostly? I'm going off memory on what I read on Wikipedia, so sorry for the vagueness.

Uh, house of leaves?

Thank you. Is it a good read?

It's amazing. But that's my own opinion.

God damn, I was just about to say House of Leaves, but I've never heard it described as a romance, so yeah! I foolishly stayed my hand.

Well, I have A.D.D., so reading books are a big challenge for me, but I try to at least read one a summer. Will it hold my interest? Because I'm kinda torn between either this or "Neuromancer".

Read both. Neuromancer is a pretty quick read.

Does "House of Leaves" read hard?

For you, probably.

I didn't think so. Then again I really like jigsaw puzzles.
In some ways, it's like a Torah produced in Moorish Cordoba: even if you don't understand what it says, you can at least enjoy the creative typography.

Rats. I read online that "Neuromancer" reads hard too. I'm basically just trying to find a really original book like "House of Leaves" and "Kathy's Book", but I've also have gotten a sudden interest to read some cyberpunk stuff that has the hardboiled mystery part to it, so if any of you can recommend anything, please do. Otherwise, "House of Leaves" seems like the one for me I feel at the moment.
