What does /lit/ think of Gravity's Rainbow?

>> No.1078022

Poop, and pee.

Poop and pee everywhere.

>> No.1078020

I'm liking it, it's fun and psychotic, though a little hard to follow sometimes.

Hello again.

In case you didn't know OP, there's a part of a chapter that is more or less a literary equivalent to 2G1C. Literally.

great book. check it out.

I was in the Atlanta airport with nothing to do for a few hours.

so I decide I would pick up a book, and then get a drink while I read it.

I narrowed my choices down between Gravity's Rainbow and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.

I went with Sedaris.

One Day, I will finally read it.

This book haunts my dreams. It defeated me.

>> No.1080100

Its not hard to read at all. I'll say that it definitely got better in the last part.

Don't take it too seriously though.

Are you implying Gravity's Rainbow is frivolous?

>> No.1080121

Great book. Some people struggle with the first few hundred pages since they're kind of disjointed, but a fairly coherent plot emerges soon after that.

I'm going to go back and read it again soon. Any advice for a second reading?

>> No.1080124

>>1080121
I've heard you could use a guide on your second reading to help with a lot of stuff you missed the first time around.

>> No.1080129

>>1080124
Well yeah of course, but a link to a specific guide would be nice.

>> No.1080132

>>1080129
No idea.
Still have yet to read the book.
It's just sitting there..

>> No.1080272

>>1080129
Not a guide, but there's a project where a guy drew a picture for each and every page.

...wish I could find the link.
