Only a pretense of them. It's just unreal escapism that indoctrinates the viewer into its own unreal system, rather than genuine expression of 'good things in humanity'. Artistically it is almost completely hollow. Even Western popmusic has more artistic merit, which is to say, nearly none. With that said, I enjoy some animes.
