>Tfw you realise you only have enough time to read X number more books within your lifetime.

I'm having a fucking breakdown. It's not fair, I want to read them all! I wasted so much time jerking off and reading introductions and translators notes. It's not fucking fair! No one told me!

>150,000 people die every day

THAT DOESN'T SCARE ME, BUT NEVER GETTING TO READ A GREAT BOOK I DIDN'T HAVE THE TIME FOR DOES

Stop thinking books are just something to consume.

There is literally nothing stopping you from dying at any second. There is no guarantee in life about anything. Not love, not safety, not work. There never will be.Anything can go wrong at any given moment.

Life's too short to read bullshit.

No, I don't at all, but still finding books takes time. And of course it's probably true that a book that would have moved me will remain unread because I died and ran out of time.

Your problem is that you don't read with a specialisation.
I took up War,Geopolitics and International Relations.
Russia and Central Asia centric even further narrows it down.
I can feasibly read most of the literature in this field.

Find your niche to master. That is the life hack to be content with your intellectual pursuits.

the point of life isn't the experience everything, rather, it's to experience everything worth experiencing to yourself. you may not read every book you might've wanted, but you were able to read all the ones you could, and probably the most interesting ones at that. besides, there's always the fact medicine could improve, or you start reading more in your old age. my great grandmother managed to read a novel every other day in her last years before passing away
