I've always imagined character as cute anime girls. If they're guys then they become gender-bent.
It happens for every goddamn book too and I really don't know why. But I always picture Gandalf as a grey-haired busty older anime lady with a banging body. Even characters like the apostle Paul, in my mind, is a supreme schoolgirl-esque qt3.14 with black-haired who always wears pleated skirts and it's really cute when I imagine her waving wildly with squinted eyes at the crowds of pagans (who are all anime girls themselves) to become christians.
My default is just to render every character in a book as an anime girl.

That's something a "psued" would do, not a "hipster". He needs to get his internet meme insults straight. And, is he not aware that this makes him the hipster, choosing works that are relatively obscure? Anyways, this is 2 sides of a coin arguing over which is better, ignoring the fact that they are both one and the same. Whatever subreddit this is, they have the same ego problems as /lit/ and this fag proves it. It just exists under a different name. >A propostion is a new kind of entity. It is a hybrid between pure potentialities and actualities. A 'singular' proposition is the potentiality of an actual world including a definite set of actual entities in a nexus of reactions involving the hypothetical ingression of a definite set of eternal objects.
>A 'general' proposition only differs from a 'singular' proposition by the generalization of the 'one definite set of actual entities' into 'any set belonging to a certain sort of sets.' If the sort of sets includes all sets with potentiality for that nexus of reactions, the proposition is called 'universal.'
>...
>The interst in logic, dominating overintellectualized philosophers, has obscured the main function of propositions in the nature of things. They are not primarily for belief, but for feeling at the physical level of unconsciousness. They constitute a source for the originiation of feeling which is not tied down to mere datum. A proposition is 'realized' by a member of its locus, when it is admitted into feeling.
>...
The primary mode of the realization of a proposition in an actual entity is not by judgment, but b entertainment. A proposition is entertained when it is admitted into feeling. Horror, relief, purpose, are primarily feelings involving the entertainment of propositions.
>In conclusion, there are four main types of entities in the universe, of which two are primary types and two are hybrid types. The primary types are actual entities and pure potentials (eternal objects); the hybrid types are feelings and propositions (theories). Feelings are the 'real components of actual entities. Propositions are only realizable as one sort of 'objective' datum for feelings.

Heh. That's cute. Peirce did better than this on pamphlets, see 'Sundry Logical Conceptions' from his 1903 Syllabus. Whiteheads catagories seem half baked and all-in-all disappointing after reading Peirce.

i know this is a shit-posting thread, but i was only posting those passages--taken from one sub-section of one chapter of one book so, obviously, not exhaustive of whitehead's thinking on the subject--to show there really isn't much of a conflict between their ideas.
does not surprise me, though, that a peircean would mistake clarity of expression for it being 'half-baked'

I really don't have any problem with Whitehead. I've honestly only read the Conceptions part of his book and was shitposting out my ass :^) I would have done differently if I knew the intention behind your post. I mentioned Sundry Logical Conceptions because it has in depth discussion of propositions as signs in Peirce's mature semiotic, where he talks about the same thing Whitehead is talking about, with different catagories of course. So apparently I was doing the same thing you were plus some shit talking.
It's been so long since I've engaged with Whitehead I've forgotten what my (mostly trivial) reservations with his catagories even were, something about how concreteness relates to the movement of the Ultimate, I think.
