an sensible man given licence to be somewhat earnest in his central jokes. He cares in his fashion as does Knausguaard for the craft, though his is a craft of spectacle I think and K's one of idealism. I think what you have in him is a model entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for duty so that there is no satisfaction in his writing except in their distribution.

Very good early in his career, but quickly devolving into a cheap opportunist of the worst kind.

I even agree with most of his political views, I just think that he's letting his lust for pissing off liberals compromise his artistic integrity. His books used to be much more subtle and perceptive, now it's all just hamfisted trolling.
