Is it a meme or does it possess scholastic rigor?

Scholasticism is gay. Thomists like Feser are too autistic to understand that Scholasticism is what lead the West to atheisim in the first place. Even Nietzsche had an inkling of this.

Different poster, but, as far as I'm concerned, anyone who tries to prove the existence of God is no better than the Atheist who tries to disprove Him.

Alright, real talk here. The reason why God is so hard to prove is because the God that's being proven is the strange creature known as the Christian God.

I think most people are agreeable to the idea of some sort of "prime cause" or "uncreated principle", and in fact would probably intuitively accept if they sat down and thought about it, but that's not what's being argued in these sorts of books. These books start out with that, but then - coming from the Christian worldview - inevitably try to start proving all sorts of arcane dogma, like the "tripartate nature" of this first cause, or the absolute distinction between causer and cause, and so on.

If you want to prove God, look no further than the majesty of a sunset or the birds in their dance across the sky or the play of children running along the street. Just don't get caught up in the endless nitpicking of "theology", desu.

Literally boomer tier

If your belief in God is inconsequential, which if you dismiss theology it is, then why even believe in the first place? It's not gonna make sunsets any nicer to belief in "God" if that's a completely empty word with no weight for you. Theology is about puzzling out how the existence of God should affect the way we think and act. Without theology, we can't prepare any genuine response to the fact of God's existence

All the people replying to you insult God when they assert that he does not communicate with every act, animal, acorn, atom. They are idolators that conceive of their "God" as a divine punisher - and it could not be any clearer exactly where this conception finds its grounds, in fear and and shame. There whole life they feel they have been wronged and blasphemously construct a human god so that they can sleep at night.

Not all of the people in that book try to prove the Christian God, Plotinus for example, nevermind that Aquinas only really argued for the uncreated creator and never tried to prove the trinity through logic, it's people misrepresenting him that creates this misconception.
