I've been writing a journal for the past four years that often devolves into stream of consciousness and I'm just now up to 202,902 words. It's mostly trash but once in a while I have a flash of really good writing and it just definitely feels good to write that freely and that much.
On good days I delude myself into thinking the basis of my first novel is hidden in there somewhere.
