We discuss what got us into reading.

for me it was The Hobbit back in Primary School, then I didn't read Lord Of The Rings untill I was almost about to start Secondary school and the first four Harry Potter books had came out and I decided to read them to see what the fuss was about.

I've been reading boos for as long as I can remember, but I do recall the book that got me into "adult" novels: The Talisman by King and Straub. I was twelve and the main character looked a lot like me, so I felt a strong parallel.
The wierder part was I realized, when I read it again at 18, that I looked a lot like Wolf. Blew my mind.

Probably Lord of the Flies. Or 1984, my mom had that on the shelf and I loved that when I read it at about age 12, although I probably didn't quite grasp every literary nuance.

As a kid I read the fuck out of some Hardy Boys books.
First adult book I can remember reading was Dune.
