>call yourself a polymath
>can't maintain or do auto repairs by yourself
>can't install plumbing or electrical wiring
>can't construct or design a building with wood, concrete, or steel
>can't survive on your own if society was to break down
>can't farm or maintain livestock
>can't build a fire, hunt game, and forage for edible plants and berries
>have no practical knowledge and have to call a specialist anytime something breaks down or goes wrong despite claiming yourself to have wide-ranging knowledge and learning
>probably can't maintain or plan a lawn or garden to country club standards with cross-hatched mowing
So why call yourself a polymath if you're learning isn't wide-ranging but is restricted to the subjects of math, philosophy, lit crit, and other strictly bookish/theoretical subjects?
Seems like a bunch self-inflated egoists who have never stepped foot out of their trust-fund libraries. Pic related is a polymath when the toilet gets clogged or his sink is backed up or he gets a flat tire etc.

Do Americans do this? It's bad enough they run all their tie colours in the bastard direction, but cross hatching a lawn is a new level in perdition.

So learn that shit?
You call yourself a polymath but you can't pick up a new skill?
Lemme guess, you felt inadequate so you did a double major and call yourself a polymath now

Yes, this is a thing lawn services will advertise, and the reason a lot of people don't mow their lawn but contract it out. They can pay a mexican pennies on the dollar to mow their lawn cross-hatched or any other kind of fancy style.

YouTube how to vids would probably be your best bet. Otherwise I'm not aware of any kind of books. I feel like you just learn it from someone else who already knows like most "blue collar" trade jobs.
